چکیده

Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica L.) kintamani is a superior agricultural product from Bali. contains many compounds, one of which caffeine beneficial for health and beauty. This study aims to formulate beans into gel dosage form. The optimization formula bean was made using the D-Optimal method combination HPMC propylene glycol as observation variables spreadability, pH, viscosity preparation experimental responses. carried out Franz diffusion cell. Caffeine content in its release are determined by spectrophotometric method. results showed that amount used would increase value (+14113.92) decrease spreadability (-0.29) pH (-6.59167E-003) gel. greater will (-2484.54) (+0.30) (+0.31802) conclusion this use (6%:17%) resulted optimum with 44,070 cps, 3.6 cm, 5.32. obtained 188.47 g released 6 hours testing 4.95%.

Endophytic bacteria in Coffea arabica L.

Eighty-seven culturable endophytic bacterial isolates in 19 genera were obtained from coffee plants collected in Colombia (n = 67), Hawaii (n = 17), and Mexico (n = 3). Both Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria were isolated, with a greater percentage (68%) being Gram negative. Tissues yielding bacterial endophytes included adult plant leaves, various parts of the berry (e.g., crown, pulp, ...

Genetic Diversity of Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica L.) in Nicaragua as Estimated by Simple Sequence Repeat Markers

Coffea arabica L. (arabica coffee), the only tetraploid species in the genus Coffea, represents the majority of the world's coffee production and has a significant contribution to Nicaragua's economy. The present paper was conducted to determine the genetic diversity of arabica coffee in Nicaragua for its conservation and breeding values. Twenty-six populations that represent eight varieties in...

PHYSIOLOGICAL DOSE-RESPONSE OF COFFEE (Coffea arabica L.) PLANTS TO GLYPHOSATE DEPENDS ON GROWTH STAGE

Glyphosate is the main herbicide used in coffee (Coffea arabica L.) plantations in Brazil. Problems with herbicide drift commonly occur in orchard fields due to non-adequate spraying conditions. A series of experiments was carried out aiming to evaluate physiological dose-response of C. arabica plants submitted to exposure to simulated glyphosate drift in two distinct plant growth stages. Glyph...

The Impact of Climate Change on Indigenous Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica): Predicting Future Trends and Identifying Priorities

Precise modelling of the influence of climate change on Arabica coffee is limited; there are no data available for indigenous populations of this species. In this study we model the present and future predicted distribution of indigenous Arabica, and identify priorities in order to facilitate appropriate decision making for conservation, monitoring and future research. Using distribution data w...
